Fortress

It's been a while since I rendered anything.. probably due to simply things too much. Anyways. It was fun.. but rendering with col-erase is still pretty bad.

Critiques are greatly welcome. Help me improve. :)

Subway Dump

Downtown T.O.
Sketching from life is a great way to see what area I need to focus on.
Special thanks to Lorenzo :)

get animated!

After the guys subway sketch group, I went to the NFB's "Madame Tutli Putli - Behind the scenes" and listened to the directors, Chris Lavis and Maciek Szczerbowski, talk about their inspirations, process of the works in the making of the film. It was very inspiring day.

Orphen boy

Initial concept for the walk run character assignment. I'd like to play around with faces a bit more but the feeling and the size of the characters seem right.

Back to concept stuff.

I forgot to bring animation stuff to school. so I sketched up a fortress/port.
These things never look good unless they are on perspective correctly.

Flipping is good way to see it the perspective is correct. As you can see here, it isn't :)

Pen and marker. Touched up with Photoshop.

Drew it up for the acting class assignment.. the focus is on girl on the left.
I'm not quite sure how to make this work for the assignment yet.

Camela

While scanning some animal sketches for the life drawing class, I decided to scan this one as well and beef it up digitaly just for fun.

I don't know what is the deal with people colouring white outlines on their sketches. Is it a 'Silver' thing? I suppose it adds certain amount of appeal to a mediocre sketch.. so I tried it out..
You can bet that I will not be doing anymore white outlining in the future.

Happy Thanksgiving

Busy with lots of homework to do.. But being at home, its hard to get started on assignments like animation.. so to loosen up, I had fun sketching turkeys :)

I give thanks for.. my new 22 inch wide screen monitor.. its so kickass..
god, I crave brown turkey meat, cranberry sauce, mashed potato and gravy so badly..

Wave and sack animation

Wave, boat and sack animation. splashes ended up to be weak point. I'm not surprised since I sort of tack them on there after I did the surface details. I will squeeze time between assignments to clean this up and compose it. and fix the splash of course :)
