I had this audio clip around so I decided to play around with it.
The audio is from CSI I believe. It was going to be a serious piece until I added the ending.
I can't stop giggling when I look at this now. Harhar.

quick break

I did more water colour stuff on the bristol paper today. Which I failed at completely. So I took a break from traditional/colour and did few girl drawings. While I usually do only one, to challenge myself, I drew 4 of the same girl. Same girl more or less.

Ugly Sweater

I tried smooth bristol paper instead of water colour paper today.

The smooth surface made the drafting portion much much easier. The downside is the paper doesn't soak up as much water as the water colour paper so I had to use less water which made blending and layering tougher and make mistakes more visible. Maybe it's better suited to use with bit of acrylic. I'll study Bill Presing's method and try that out next time.

I don't think I have properly posted these on blogspot before. So, here they are for your enjoyment.
These are all done from mid to late 2011. How time does fly.

1. (top) 2012 postcard. I couldn't get them sent to as many people as I liked. So I have lots of these sitting around at home.

2. (left) My image for 2012 Calender we did. This one was for the month of April.

3. (right) My donated submission for Art for Water. I wonder if a single print of my piece got sold for the fundraising.

2012 Art Summary

Hi all, I'm back.

I've saw couple of these art summary from my tumblr followings so I thought to make one as well.
This year, with addition of using gradients, I become more familiar with making posts that look more 'finished'. There are still a lot of sketches with single character on white background. However, as the year progressed, I found myself envisioning colour more before I begin the drawing process rather than only thinking in terms of lines and greyscale.
