I've never rendered to this extent before.
Thanks to Serge Birault's tutorials on Muddy Colors blog, I tried it out.
Far from perfect but I learned few new techniques.
I used a photo reference. Ai Shinozaki is the model if anyone is interested.

Redline - the animated series?

It's too much fun to draw existing characters into TV animation style.

I was going to paint this one like all the others I've done recently but I was dissatisfied with base colour I put down and felt little too sick to finish it. So I went with line art and grey scale instead. I think it turned out rather nicely.
