Took a break from storyboarding.. something like storyboarding is frustrating to do it overnight.. especially, when its being graded, the drawings have to be relatively neat. I found myself trying to draw pretty pictures rather than thinking more about the composition and transitions.. than again, we were never taught that sort of stuff in class. My fault for not reading books I suppose.

Toonboom Storyboard Pro is awesome.. cintiq is awesome..

Zoooooo

Going to the zoo reminds me of good old summer last year. It's march break so there were families as expected. I thought having people would get in the way but it provided some entertainment as I wondered the zoo alone.

It is rare to see lions all sitting around outside in the clearing. So I was pretty excited. but I wasn't the only one.

The male lion got up to hump the female about three times.

Kid1: "What are they doing?"
Man1: "He is dominating"
Kid1: "What is dominating mommy?"
mom1: "Its a kind of dance..."

on a separate occasion I also heard..

mom2: "close your eyes."

I didn't want to spent eternity trying to make a panning background for my previous run cycle.. since its much less than ideal to have a run cycle in perspective..

Soo.. I just whipped up a new run cycle for the layout assignment..

Hand over the Turtles.. seriously.

Human sync done! Well.. 80% done. I need to animate the reaction part after but this is where I leave it to be marked for now. It feels like a whole load has been taken off my back. Now I can focus on improving other areas of animation study :)
