For your viewing pleasure

Uploaded some old stuff.

Magic Carpet ride..

My life drawing debut.. I guess.

I should look at my own life drawing more often..

I will put up good stuff next time.

You look exactly like this.

Caricature time!

Thurman liked Tom Tom's. Probably because it was most realistic looking one.

Fun times.

Compare & Contrast

Original

Master Copy

Scanning and changing brightness/contrast can never justify the paint's real colour so I'm not even going to bother.

I'm still at awe at the Disney background painters. I'm not sure how big this thing was painted but it sure has crazy crisp details in there.

Now that I look at them both on the same screen, I can see that I drew the perspective wrong. Maybe I should've traced it instead.

I was happy with it until I posted this. Wow, it's so different than the original. :/

4 Thoughts.. they are related.

There are good artists that inspire you to draw more.

there are extremely good artists that make you think what you have been doing all these years.

Claire Wendling scares the crap out of me..

I feel uncontrollable urge to go to the zoo.

Gogo Gadget Highschool Layout skills

Enjoy.

Zoonimation 2007

Five hours at the zoo was not nearly enough time... I didn't get any good sketches at all.

I thought I could study the animal anatomy at the view by drawing them but without the general knowledge, I didn't know where to start. Animal books, here I come.

Ship from the Planet 9

People think I'm a Star Wars geek because I was working on this for the past three days.

I gave up on the back view. To make up for the loss, instead of using markers, I used trusty Photoshop to render it.

Enjoy.

Lesson learned

Don't even begin rendering until you know it from every angle.....

I definately need to improve the structure on the two exhausts. Then, I'll need to figure out the right position from the back view.. then draw it in a right perspective.

I'm mighty tired of this but I can't move on to other projects until I finish it.

I'm almost done.. I can taste it.

Vehicle Concept - Water jet thingy

I like thumbnailing stuff but when it comes to finished product, I just get so nervous.
This design isn't so hot. I want a aircraft.

Back to the drawing board for me.

*personal note - flaws
-design: front part of the vehicle and back part looks seperated at the cock pit
-technical: back view, the space in front of the cock pit is too long.
-technical: Not all lines define the form

Space Craft from Planet Nine

Tale of a Giraffe Who Could Fly

I'll develop this and see if its good enough to put on my page. It feels like I need one of pose between jump anticipation and the jump(in the middle).

Suggestions -as always- are welcome.

With brush pen, Clean up has never been so easy.

Rushing never felt so good

I can draw mechanical objects better but I can paint organic objects better. :/
Weird little painting. Took me 2.5 hours.

If I can do something like this in 2.5 hours(not that I'm proud of it), I should practice painting more.

G. Raff

G. Raff in a nutshell.
I'm not sure about the colour yet.
